"The team welcomed me wonderfully, like a family": Marin on his transfer to Krylia Sovetov

Green-white-blues midfielder Jimmy Marin spoke about the atmosphere in the team and shared his expectations for the third round RPL match against Rostov.

Jimmy Marin joined Krylia Sovetov last month. Before that, he was with Orenburg. He also played for Israeli and his native Costa Rican clubs. This season, he played in three matches for KS.

Two in the RPL, one in the cup. The last one was against Krasnodar on July 29 (6+). That day, the Volga team won 2:1. Jimmy Marin opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a pass from Sergei Babkin. Amar Rakhmanovich also scored.

"It was interesting to play against the champions. We came out without fear. That's worth a lot," Marin explained.

Added: the meeting was watched by his wife and daughter. He dedicated the goal to them and the family as a whole. I am sure their support helped him win. Now he is waiting for them in Samara to get to know her better.

"I don't know much about the city yet - only the club's base. I'm waiting for my loved ones to come so we can explore it together. I remember Costa Rica and Serbia played here at the opening of the 2018 World Cup. When it became known that I was going here, many of my fellow countrymen wrote to me about their impressions. They were at our stadium and remembered only the best things," the "green-white-blue" legionnaire said.

He spoke separately about the atmosphere in KS:

"I've felt comfortable since my first day at Krylia. The team has welcomed me wonderfully - like a family. I'm sincerely happy about that."

He emphasized: On August 2, the Samara team will face a serious opponent on its field (6+).

“Usually this team is at the top of the table, but we need to play boldly - then we can take three points,” the Volzhane press service quotes Jimmy Marin as saying.
